
Kenneth Blank, MD
Biography:
Kenneth R. Blank, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who serves as Medical Director of Sovereign Health Cancer Care’s Radiation Oncology facilities.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree from Duke University, where he was elected to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa society, Dr. Blank earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he was elected to the honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Blank was the lead author of a ground-breaking study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, or JAMA, that compared prostate cancer outcomes after radical prostatectomy surgery, external beam radiation therapy, and interstitial radiation therapy. His research into radiotherapy for prostate cancer and other malignancies has been published in several other peer-reviewed medical journals.
Before joining Sovereign Health Cancer Care in 2011, Dr. Blank served as Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology and Chairman of the Cancer Committee at Clara Maas Medical Center in Belleville.
