Karen M. Bellapianta is Board Certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. She specializes in the treatment of Pediatric and Adult Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders.
Prior to her medical education, she attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

She received her Medical Doctorate from Albany Medical College in Albany NY. Dr. Bellapianta completed her residency training in Otolaryngology at Albany Medical Center. During this time she conducted research which she later presented at the American Laryngological Association’s 2009 Spring Meeting. The presentation was entitled, “Correlation of Endotrachial Tube Monitoring on Post-Operative Vocal Fold Function during Anterior Cervical Spine Surgery.”

She has written publications, manuscripts and abstracts and has publically presented her work at various professional associations.

Dr. Bellapianta has recently begun practicing in New Jersey.

Post residency, she worked at the Nemours Children’s Clinic in Florida where she specialized in Pediatric Otolaryngology. She then relocated to Connecticut where she worked in private practice at Associates of Otolaryngology, PC. During this time she served as both the Medical Information Officer for Greenwich Hospital as well as being a Member of the Medical Staff.

Dr. Bellapianta sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Sovereign Medical Building, 85 Harristown Road, Suite 105, Glen Rock, NJ 07452.
