Keith A. Christiansen, MD, is a board-certified urologist who practices in Fair Lawn, NJ. Dr. Christiansen obtained his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Cornell University and a master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University Graduate School, where he served as Student Body President. He then earned his medical degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Following an internship in the Department of Surgery at New York Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, he returned to Washington to complete his urology residency at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center. During his residency, Dr. Christiansen received training in laparoscopic surgery techniques involving use of the daVinci robotic surgery technology, cryoablation procedures to treat prostate and kidney conditions, and advanced kidney stone management. He also was named Outstanding Resident of the Year.

Dr. Christiansen’s research papers and presentations to professional audiences have addressed topics ranging from robotic-assisted surgery for prostate cancer to the neurophysiology of overactive bladder syndrome.
